The application of anterior cervical plates has become widely accepted when performing anterior spinal fusion to stabilize the spine for tumor, trauma, deformity, degenerative disc disease and other forms of cervical instability.

The ATLANTIS VISION® Anterior Cervical Plate System has been designed to meet the clinical challenges of anterior cervical surgery by offering a construct that incorporates an attached locking mechanism and the choice of fixed- or variable-angle screws for ease of implantation in standard and complex cases alike.

Features and Benefits
ATLANTIS VISION® Anterior Cervical Plate SystemThe ATLANTIS VISION® Anterior Cervical Plate System offers:

  • Alignment notches for precise midline placement
  • Allows variable angle screw placement
  • Fixed- and variable-angle self-drilling screws for fewer surgical steps
  • Attached locking mechanism that simplifies securing the screws to the plate
  • Plate Holder/Screw Guide for single step screw placement
  • Allows visualization of post-operative endplate/graft incorporation
Innovative Design
The ATLANTIS VISION® Anterior Cervical Plate System incorporates a plate shape and vision ports and allows visualization of post-operative endplate/graft incorporation.

Alignment notches on the cephalad and caudal ends of the plate facilitate precise midline placement.

Fixed, hybrid, and variable angle constructs can be configured using fixed or variable angle color-coded bone screws.

In addition to the choice of fixed- or variable-angle screws, the ATLANTIS VISION® Anterior Cervical Plate System's attached locking mechanism, plate width (17mm) and thickness (2.5mm), and Plate Holder/Screw Guide all allow for ease of implantation.

The system's wide range of plate lengths accommodates a wide variety of cervical anatomies and levels of fusion: 19-25mm in 2mm increments, 25-90mm in 2.5mm increments, and 90-110mm in 5mm increments. To accommodate normal anterior cervical spine lordosis and, at the same time, minimize the need for additional plate contouring, the ATLANTIS VISION® Anterior Cervical Plate comes with a pre-machined lordotic curve (184mm radius curve over the length of the plate). To ensure optimal surface contact, the width of the plate also incorporates a 25.4mm radius curve.

The ATLANTIS VISION® Anterior Cervical Plate System components are made from titanium alloy, as described by such standards as ASTM F136 or ISO 5832-3.

System Versatility
The ATLANTIS VISION® Anterior Cervical Plate System offers the surgeon the versatility of tailoring the dynamics of the construct to meet individual patient needs and requirements when treating cervical instability.

Fixed, hybrid, and variable angle constructs can be configured using fixed or variable angle color-coded bone screws.

Fixed (Constrained)
A constrained system can be configured by using fixed screws in both ends of the ATLANTIS VISION® Anterior Cervical Plate. This type of construct offers maximum stability at the graft receptor site.

Hybrid
A hybrid system can be configured by using a combination of fixed or variable screws at either end of the ATLANTIS VISION® Anterior Cervical Plate, which optimizes the biomechanical stability of the construct. This type of construct allows flexibility for managing aberrant anatomy or sub-optimal screw positions or purchases.

Variable (Non-Constrained)
A non-constrained system can be configured by using variable screws in both ends of the ATLANTIS VISION® Anterior Cervical Plate, which allows for optimum physiologic loading of the pathology at the graft receptor site.

Broad Application
The ATLANTIS VISION® Anterior Cervical Plate System offers spinal surgeons a clear-cut solution for stabilizing a wide range of spinal disorders as an adjunct to fusion of the anterior cervical spine:

  • Degenerative disc disease (DDD)
  • Trauma, including fractures
  • Spinal tumor resection
  • Spinal deformity (kyphosis, lordosis, and/or scoliosis)
  • Pseudarthrosis (failed previous fusion)

The ATLANTIS VISION® Anterior Cervical Plate System is indicated for use in temporary stabilization of the anterior spine during the development of cervical spinal fusions in patients with the following: 1) degenerative disc disease (as defined by neck pain of discogenic origin with degeneration of the disc confirmed by patient history and radiographic studies); 2) trauma (including fractures); 3) tumors; 4) deformity (defined as kyphosis, lordosis, or scoliosis); 5) pseudarthrosis; and/or 6) failed previous fusions.

The ATLANTIS VISION® Anterior Cervical Plate System is intended for anterior cervical intervertebral body fusions only. The device is not approved for screw attachment to the posterior elements (pedicles) of the cervical, thoracic or lumbar spine.

It is important that you discuss the potential risks, complications, and benefits of the ATLANTIS® VISION® with your doctor prior to receiving treatment, and that you rely on your physician's judgment. Only your doctor can determine whether you are a suitable candidate for this treatment.
